Destination Osnabrück: Experience the Conference Place
Living together in solidarity - that's what Osnabrück as the City of Peace stands for. Birthplace of the writer Erich Maria Remarque, who wrote the world-famous novel "All Quiet on the Western Front", and the painter Felix Nussbaum, who was murdered in Auschwitz and for whom star architect Daniel Libeskind built a museum.

The romantic old part of the city, the many pedestrian zones, arcades and promenades, the university and the colleges, the countless companies of international standing but also the high-class cultural and free-time activities make Osnabrück a great place to have a conference.

Heaven on Earth – that’s what the Osnabrück countryside stands for. Rich green meadows and extensive woods, clear water and clean air. This is where Arminius defeated the Romans, about which the Varus Battle in the Osnabrück Country – Museum and Park Kalkriese tells today. Also the discovery of 150-million-year-old dinosaur "footprints" in a stone quarry in the Wiehen Mountains gives evidence to the history of this region.

The beautiful natural spaces and water realm, the many charming castles, the representative half-timbered houses and the scenic destinations as well as the outstanding infrastructure invite you to have a relaxing conference in the Osnabrück countryside. What are the Osnabrück people like? Content and happy, as the magazine "Stern" discovered. Each different, but all together a good team which looks forward to its guests. And its guests have already included Pope John Paul II., the former President of Germany Johannes Rau and Juan Carlos I., King of Spain.
